What do dreams really tell us?I write down my dreams and nightmares and I’ve read them back and I’ve realised the last 6 are all nightmares and the similar things happen but in all 6 there’s been people telling me to kill myself quick is it a sign?

It is not a sign of the future, bit it is a sign that you are suffering from quite severe anxiety. Maybe a chat with a therapist would help. Cognitive Behavioural Therapy could help you to relax and the dreams would not be so troublesome to you.
Sigmund Freud said that all dreams(or nightmares)had a sexual meaning as their foundation. Are you having a relationship problem or such at present?
dreams dont really tell us an awful lot

I agree that you are having anxiety dreams and you should see help. Why are you keeping a dream diary anyway?

They tell us how good the mind is at creating apparent order/info from random noise/data.
What it interprets the random firing of neurons as may be an indication of how you view your present situation though. Go find something to cheer yourself and enjoy the isolation.
Not that it helps very much, but Shakespeare was obsessed with dreams and nightmares...an obsession which a lot of people reckon that account for the dreamlike plots of a lot of his plays.
The received wisdom is that dreams are the mind's way of making sense of what it is experiencing.

I have had vivid dreams and nightmares for as long as I can remember - some of them so surreal as to defy the language to describe them.

I have never ever felt the slightest inclination that they 'mean' something, I simply accept them, and enjoy the nice ones, and try to get past the nasty ones.

I don't believe they bring 'messages' of any kind, and I would suggest that you don't believe that either.

You may be anxious about something, so as advised, seek some assistance, but don't think about 'acting' on your dreams for a moment.
