Microwave Oven

Can anyone recommend a basic, simple to use, manual microwave oven, to save me having to trawl through amazon? Ta Muchly and Take Care All.

Hi Eleanor, yes I am aware of the RNIB oven and I am also aware of the price too!...very difficult to come to terms with at that price and the balance between necessity or not! But Many Thanks.

It's a Daewoo manual control microwave 700 watt 20 litre white.

Morrisons normally have a handful of models with some around £50. They are not showing on the Morrisons website at the moment though for some reason. You could try Tesco too.

I always get mine from Asda, about £40, manual, simple to use.

Many Thanks for the ASDA link Ginge, but as far as I can see (smile), there is no pic so Margie, please could I ask if you could describe the buttons or similar on the oven; are they flush to the oven's facia? (if that's the right word) or if there is a dial, is that flush to the oven too, as I would need to mark up the numbers or whatever with braille dots! I'm sorry to be an awful bore about this, but as needs must, eh!...and I hope there is no touch screen. Very Many Thanks and Take Care You and All.

Me again....to the right of the door, there are two dials - one above the other. They are not flush and have a raised part so you can twist them. The top one has 5 well-spaced power settings and the bottom one is the timer. The wattage is 700w max. Hope that helps.

It would seem so JJ, but I aint a clue how or why - didnae ken I was dat klebber!...but Many Thanks for your link, can't do eBay, but if you recommend, then I'll have a look normally...if possible!
