chuck/drill twist cannot be tightened to hold the drill bit in place. Any advice to enable me to easily release it or take it apart?

Try Googling 'Bosch cordless drill chuck problem.' I've just done that, and there's plenty of advice there.

A brisk tap with a hammer then a good skoosh of 3 In One should help.
