Has anyone been to one of these? I could go to one next week, but I already have the DVD - I'm assuming I'd have to buy one there to have it signed! I'm going to see said performer the same night - would they let me have the ticket signed? Or take a photo? I'm not an idiot, I just don't want to look silly in front of a legend.

No, you don't have to buy anything there - take along your DVD to be signed, just be prepared for one hell of a long queue (provided it's someone other people, not just you, want to see!).

I was going to see martina cole last week but couldnt be arse in the end.

Take your DVD, your ticket and anything else you want signed. The performer is usually quite happy to sign, it's the management/bouncers that move you on. Take your camera too, go for it!

PS - Who is it??

Thanks guys - it was Ross Noble! What a star... he turned up an hour late after the DVD company sent him to the wrong shop! Got a photo (damn thing came out blurred!) and had some good banter with him.
Glad you enjoyed it! Isn't he the one who wanted to send Catherine Zita Jones to room 101 for having 'cat like eyes'? If it is him, I think he's funny.
