A clear and honest apology, good.
It has been done yesterday..............and i would have been bloody annoyed as well.
Ooops sorry, I didn't read the attachment diligently enough.

I still would not have apologised and i certainly wouldn't have been "disgusted " with myself.
at least he had the decency to come forward and apologise for his rash action
In the heat of the moment .....

Good to see his contrition
That's good. I'm not sure exactly how he was affected. In an emergency, it's reasonable to block someone out of their drive, but not in it.
I gave my opinions on the first thread about this, if a suitable parking space was available a few yards away then they should have used it - but we don't know if there was.
So could the motorist, to be fair, and then moved it. It would only be unreasonable to stop someone getting out imo.
When someone is so close to death maybe such thoughts take a back seat.
Yes- the ambulance drivers might not even know the road so well- driving up and down it to not cause inconvenience wouldn't make sense- as long as they aren't actually stopping anyone leaving.

Apparently the parking in this area is a nightmare. The patient was from a rehab centre, this could explain the feeling towards the ambulance driver.
I gave an account yesterday which would have meant the ambulance attending my Mother having to park 2 streets away in order not to block traffic. Maybe they should have just gone back to the station and reported they couldn't park without blocking.
I can understand the impulsive reaction. I have been made to wait by delivery drivers blocking roads- and bin lorries are the worst. But an emergency ambulance deserves a bit of leeway I think.
I read the above link that he had been blocked in as he was due to go to an appointment.
(have been known to be wrong lots of times tho!)

Hope the ambulance people accept his apology.
They hold up entire roads when necessary- fair enough. I think most people after the initial sigh are probably just glad they are around when you need them.
He should have knocked to see if one of them could move it.

As long as my bins are emptied, I'm quite happy to wait for the truck to move. I can not believe people who drive on pavements to get past the bin men.
That is dangerous... but the arrogance of them us breathtaking sometimes. I asked one driver who had stopped and started for 10 minutes without driving past some parked cars to let the build up of traffic behind him through. He said "I have to do my job" and I said "so have we!". And he moved forwards eventually.
When you see an ambulance parked outside a house, you know someone is in need of help (not a snitty note on the windscreen, albeit, he did apologise, and well done him for coming forward and apologising)

I don't understand drivers who can't wait a few minutes behind a bus at a bus stop and as for driving on pavement to get by a bin motor is ridiculous!!
Pix, bin motors and other council vehicles own the road !

Got a couple parked outside mine at the mo whilst they are hammering and bashing and drilling and lobbing stuff, loudly into a wagon.
