Friday. Heavy overcast this morning, lots of the wet stuff to come we are told. Not very warm either. Oh well, I'll have to stay in and watch wumblybum won't I!

Tiggy is in bed, he didn't go far at all.

Have a happy day everyone.

Morning Boaty - just a quick visit this morning. Today is a job and knock day for me. As soon as I have finished my monthly reports, I can finish - hence the early start. It'll be heaven to get out on the motorways and not get caught up in the 'Friday night dash home' on the M56 and M6

Morning welshie. I well remember the Friday evening madness.

how you keeping mate?
I'm feeling pretty good today, for a change - must be the thought of just one week left at work until the Aegean beckons
Question Author
That's a pretty good booster. Tell you what though. When you retire you don't get a day off! ;o}
Retire? I don't think i'm going to be able to afford that luxury...........
Question Author
That's the way it looks for many these days mate. I would't mind a part time job, but it wouldn't make sense, unless it pays silly money!
With tax and NI rates sure to go up in the wake of Brexit, you may well be right. I hope i'm wrong, but a lot more people will end up better off on benefits than grafting for a week
Question Author
Yes, but we can only wait and see what happens. I feel sorry for the youngsters of today.
Over 65s do not pay NI.
Question Author
Morning lack. That's right. If they are retired.
Me too, I just hope that the doom and gloom merchants are wrong and leaving the EU will be better for them. Let's face it, Boaty, we're both on the wrong side of 21 and we are not the ones who will suffer most - my grandkids range from 10 months to 10 years old, what will the future hold for them?
Morning JD - i've got 5 more years of paying NI yet as rules stand - what's the betting that the age limit will be scrapped or upped to 70 or 75 in the next budget?
Retired or not, you don't pay NI once you hit 65.
Rightio, chaps, must be cracking on - I have a weekend waiting for me..............have a good one

Have a great weekend all who follow
Question Author
You're right welshie. But I think the gloom and doom merchants are wrong. It can get a lot better. Not immediately obviously, there is a lot of uncertainty, even those that would like to torpedo the process.
Question Author
Have a good'un welshie. :o}
Question Author
jack I'm not sure about those still in full time, well paid employment. I just don't know.
I can assure you, once you hit 65 you are no longer liable for NI, irrespective of your employment status.
Question Author
That's fine then Jack. It doesn't affect me anyway.

How you doing? :o}
