What is the best and quickest way of removing hard tile cement from second hand tiles?     We have acquired a large quantity of used tiles of identical design to those used in our bathroom. We wish to extend the tiled area but firstly must remove all the old cement without damaging them.

Will they adhere with fresh tile cement without problems?    Thanks.

Lay them face-down on damp soft sand and use a small angle grinder with a diamond blade (gently, in a slanting motion) - or soak overnight in diluted patio-cleaner and then scrape gently)
