Can anyone tell me why I can hear caller on skype but they cannot hear me. How do I check my microphone?

We had the same problem. From what I remember at the top there are different headings. Click over them until you find one called microphone or sound. Click on it and change the microphone. This worked for me.
I am sure someone will explain this better than I have done.
