Hello. I have an old-fashioned wristwatch, which I inadvertently kept on in the shower and before it was too late, it got water in it. Have tried using a hairdryer to get it out, but no luck. Any tips?

Put it in the sun for a while. If the water got in then it should be able to evaporate out as well.

Carefully take the back off, and then put it on a soft cloth over a gentle heat source, like a radiator, should dry out no problem, good luck!

Try pulling out the winder/time adjuster and see if you can't tip any water out.

Take it to a jeweller's.  They have the expertise to open it up and dry its innards.  Once you've got water in the watch, no matter how many times it seems to be dry, condensation will occur intermittently on the glass.  They'll probably only charge you a tenner.

Good luck

I wouldn't use any other (mechanical) means than just waiting a while for it to dry on its own.
