Couldn't bear just hearing about the poor children who are dying or have died today in the war in the Middle East. Poor little children completely innocent, I pray the little 5 yr old girl survives the stomach operation, her family have been through so much, can't watch anymore ................ I'm so upset.

i did the same, they showed that snap of the little girl and it was too much, terrible destruction and targeting families is not right
I found I couldn't look at daily mail that and too many other sad stories.
It is indeed worrisome to the way that this all plays out.....I just wonder if Israel are taking advantage of the Gaza-eans to get, ultimately, at the Iranians.
Meant to say website, not paper

Glad others agree what a senseless waste of lives - poor things, I pray for peace there soon.
It's not going to happen.
It just makes me very angry. People who have been pushed into a ghetto situation retaliate with what weapons they possess (and who wouldn't) and the people who should know better considering what they as a race have endured in fairly recent history feel it's OK to commit what I see as mass murder. I have no sympathies with Israel whatsoever (except of course for any children that are killed or injured)

And I had to come away from the news too Ann
It's very sad but praying isn't going to help them .
Most of the trouble is caused by religion and land grabbing in the first place .

Sadly not Naomi, war is so awful.

We went to Israel (and Eygpt) as tourists for a few days in 1999, I can't believe it's the same place, so sad.

Shaney - my faith tells me that nothing is impossible with God so I will continue to pray as He does answer prayer, but often not in the way we want or expect.
Shaney, you're absolutely right. The problem began with religion. No Promised Land - no problem. And they're all sending their prayers to the same God who started it all in the first place. Madness!
Ann, if you knew Israel rather better, you would believe it's the same place.

What do you mean headwreck? I don't really understand .... How can I stop those poor little children being injured or killed. I'm of no political persuasion, I'm just thinking of their suffering, poor little ones, no matter where they live.
headwreck, I don't think that's entirely fair. Ann knows it's happening, but sometimes things are just too painful to watch. In other circumstances, I've switched off myself, but that doesn't mean I'm neutral or that I don't care - and it doesn't mean I haven't tried to do something positive to help either.
i'm a coward and bury my head in the sand but mainly i'm just a little bit scared of what is yet to come
