Unscrewing Filter Lit

or whatever it's called, on the washing machine.
It is turn left to unscrew isn't it?
It's being a pain in the neck and need to check it as machine keeps washing kitchen floor.

Mines a bosch and yes its left for loose and right for tight. But if the filter blocks on my machine the damned machine does not empty at all. Just wondering could it be the pipe that the machine drains into that is full of gunge. Happened mine previously and got wet floor everytime. Poured some of that stuff drain unblocker into it to release it and problem solved

Howard, it's a Hoover 1300 Special Edition, double AA performance
according to the bumf on the front.

Had the thing for just over a year, 2nd hand, 3 month guarantee and it started to do this about 2 weeks ago.

Will investigate the pipe too
