Ebay - Querying dispatch

I purchased and paid for something on Friday. Noticed straight away I'd put the wrong postcode so contacted the seller. She replied quickly saying she'd amend the address and thanking me for the payment.

Looking today, the item still hasn't been dispatched (unless she just hasn't changed it's status).

How long do you leave it before it's acceptable to get in touch with the seller and ask about dispatch? She has 100% positive feedback so it's a bit odd that I haven't had anything through yet but don't want to rock the boat.

Send a polite email asking if it's been dispatched yet?
I agree ^^
7-14 days
I dont always change the status when I have dispatched an item. On the ad what did it say about within how many days it will be sent out, and what did it say about service eg 3-5 days second class post. From that you will be able to calculate when this should be received by.
Question Author
I remember it said first class (I paid £3 for it) but I can't get back onto the listing. When I click it just says the listing ended and takes me to similar items.

Sorry, I'm a bit new to Ebay.

She may not have posted it on Saturday, sometimes we wait until the Monday if we can't get to the post office on Saturday morning before it shuts. It's only a couple of days since then - I'd give it until the end of the week.
what estimated date does the auction give for delivery?
Question Author
I can't see an estimated date.

In the My Purchases bit is it listed with the others but just says the sale date.
look at the listing, scroll down to postage description and it will tell you there
even so, that despatch information is only a guide - the seller can't be responsible for any delays in the delivery service. I think it's far too soon to be worrying about non-delivery.

We email the buyer as soon as we've despatched something - that way, there's no doubt.
Question Author
Oh, found it! Says expected 13th-14th. I'll see if anything changes tomorrow.
If you click on summary, lists, purchase history. Then click on the item it should come up with everything you saw when you bid on it.
Question Author
Nibble, I'm not complaining it hasn't arrived, just that it doesn't appear to have been dispatched. As I said I know she may have sent it and just not updated the order.

That's why I'm asking advice about what to do.
I wasn't going to suggest the estimated delivery time was anything other than estimated, Nibble
That's the whole point, it isn't a given it's estimated
Once the parcel is despatched, delivery is in the hands of RM, not the seller

There ya go Evian, at least tomorrow then I would give a couple of extra days as you bought on a Friday - not ALL PO's are open saturdays
Lots of sellers (in my experience) don't update the "despatched" indicator - ever, but still send out the item promptly. A bureaucratic hiccup, that's all.
Question Author
Hello. Nothing had arrived or been marked as shipped as of this morning so I sent a message asking if they had been sent yet. She replied saying she would ship today and apologised for the delay.

What sort of feedback do you leave in these situations? (assuming they arrive next week and are as described)
Do as you would be done by. If you're happy with the item, leave positive feedback, otherwise you might get a negative in return. At least you got a reply to your despatch query, and that's a plus.
Question Author
I just feel it's a bit poor that he hasn't even sent it yet when it should have arrived by yesterday. She didn't even let me know there was a delay until I asked. It's got my goat.
i'd give negative feeback, the seller hasn't sent the item that's been paid for inc postage
