Hi,
just bought a new Panasonic DVD recorder. Noticed on playback of recordings that sometimes light, diagonal lines are in the background. Is this normal or a fault. I'm using Short Play and the aeriel strength is good.

Thx

Does this mean that what you are watching was recorded on the Panasonic...and also, did you watch older DVDs recorded before you got the new one....if the latter played OK on the Panasonic then it's a fault with that one.

Take it back for an exchange, as you shouldn't have noise bars or diagonal lines on playback, if as you say, 'aerial strength is good' when you are recording.

Thx. I've not played DVD's, just recordings from TV.
