my friend is a scottish citizen. she is abused where she lives and i cant let her stay there. she wants to move here (the USA) and be with me and i have no idea where to start. i know i need to get her a visa, but i have no idea which will get her here, and when she is here, well i can apply for a green card for her easy enough. any and all help with getting her the visa will be greatly appreciated

She's no chance of getting a visa to live in the US, she can go on holiday, but that's it.
Good luck............the first Mr Craft owned 2 properties in the US and he couldn't get a green card.
You can apply for a green card easily enough - but the chances of getting one are slim to zero. As is a visa for anything other than a holiday

The one avenue is that IF she has a skill that is scarce in the US, AND can find a job (without visiting the US - she cannot look for work whilst on holiday in the US, and will be refused admission if she as much as hints at it) from an employer willing to sponsor her, then a visa MAY be possible.

Consult a US Immigration lawyer, and be prepared to pay - a lot.
