Assuming that you had a computer linked to a suitably sized plotter (usually used for CAD etc., would it be possible to print Microsoft Word and Excel documents out at A2 or A1 paper size.

Yes you can.
As j2buttonsw said, yes you can. On an A0 plotter you can print a sheet of paper around 915mm wide by as long as the roll of paper you have loaded. I managed a 15 metre long plot once! Wasn't popular with the boss though as it was on expensive drawing film.

No it wouldn't.


The maximum paper size in Word is 22 inches wide by 22 inches tall. This is irrespective of printer capability.
