while using my washer today it worked for about 5mins then it started toslow down and rev up again constantly if i removed the jet attachment the motor would run normal and water came out the end of the handle. as soon as i fit the jet to this part the motor slows down as though it is going to conk out then rises and slows constantly. any ideas as to what is causing this problem would be appreciated

I had a similar problem with an RAC washer. Turned out to be water pressure in was too low.

Id say not enough pressure too.
Failing that, pressure regulating valve getting iffy.

hi thanks to you both for quick replies when it started i checked that the dish washer or washing machine wasnt on. but i shall try it again tomorrow with a shorter hose from outside tap to see if it is a pressure problem. would a regulating valve be easy to replace if i could get hold of one
