double glazing sealing rubber

the rubber seal which goes around the double glazing in the inside of the house, seems to be getting brittle and its coming away from the corners of the windows. Can this be changed easily and cheaply or does the whole unit have to come out and rerubbered (technical term)

Depends on the windows, but you can buy coils of sealing rubber for glazing that you cut and fit to suit.

But double glazed windows supposed to be such an economical godsend that you never have to touch again after they've been expertly put in?
