Damp Patch in Bathroom

I keep getting damp patches appearing in the bathroom - normally a couple of days after it rains. They are either 'blobs' or drips which run down the paintwork.

I am not sure whether the problem is due to guttering, the roof or anything else!

Also not sure whether I need to call a roofer, plumber, etc.

Any help gratefully received! Thanks.

Probably leaking flashing around a chimney or a displaced tile, have you been in the loft, if the water runs diagonally however and you notice cracks appeating it's subsidence ,

Thanks Dotty. Water in running vertically and no cracks are appearing.

I'll get someone in to check out the roof.
Check chimney flashing first .. then ridges .. then for missing slates/tiles. Local builder can do that.
If you call a roofing company, you 'may' get a list.
sounds like leaking flashing or blocked gutters. Do you clear out the leaves from your gutters .
