MacCulloch & Wallis Ltd, 25 Dering Street (opp. House of Fraser) London W1S 1AT tel. 7629 0311. There used to be another one in Soho but I cannot find the details. You might find some more shops if you flick through the back pages of the bridal mags. As you mention red and gold have you thought of buying Indian fabrics? I used to live in East London and remember there used to be a lot of fabric shops near the Upton Park underground station (District line). I used to look at them from the bus and the effect was stunning.

Thank you - if we choose to go to London (I live in Copenhagen) I will check out the shop you mentioned. I hadn't thougth of buying Indian fabric, but the idea is briliant - I'll have a look at it. Once again - thank you for helping.
There are wonderful Indian cloth shops in Southall, west London, if that is closer to where you will be staying. Great choice - and prices.
If you do come to London, check out some of the fabric shops in Soho........there's a few places in Berwick St market and around that area that sell fabrics - I think they supply a lot to the theatre industry, so you can pretty much find anything there, and they're dead helpful. Good luck!!
If you're after Indian Fabric in London try Petticoat Lane/East Lane Market
