Can You Understand Water Bills?

I find water bills (Southern Water's) too fiddly to figure out. I should add have a meter. There is a lot of detail (designed to confuse in my book) on supply and drainage plus other odds and ends eg highway drainage. But nothing in dead simple terms on how much each costs and no statement of annual consumption or how much it actually cost. I'm currently asking them about this. But does anyone have a really good supplier anywhere in the country with crystal clear easy to understand bills? Thanks.

My water bill has a figure at the bottom, and I have to pay it. Simples !

It looks reasonably easy to understand ... I think ... What's the problem.
