where is it coming from?

north - south -- east -- or west

Roughly from the NorthWest, tracking in a dead straight to south east. From here in Kent it's heading straight for Belgium! It's a very clear bright light in the sky, no winking or sound, headily steadily straight across the sky. Not always right overhead, its path moves from night to night but you'll see it coming when you see it moving!
