I have a set of stainless steel saucepans and they are badly marked up with rainbow marks.

I have read that bar keeper's friend is good for removing these marks, but when I read the product it says don't use on stainless steel.

This is the product

Has anyone else used this and is this the right stuff????

The right stuff is a bit of elbow grease along with a scouring pad...!
A slightly dull finish is better than a slightly burnt finish..!
Use a product called 'Solvol Autosol'. It's a chrome polish, and is widely available. They advertise that it will remove the blueing from chrome on electric fire reflectors and motorbike exhausts. (It does). It's excellent on stainless steel too. Many hardware stores stock it, or you could Google for it.
I use a product called Astonish or something called The Pink Stuff. both reasonably priced (much cheaper than bar keeper's friend) & very efficient. Wilkinsons sell Astonish & I get the other one from a local hardware shop
