in 'max and paddy road to nowhere' they say 'best of all we don't pay council tax'.  surely they still need to use bins, water, places to park up etc.  is there a yearly charge for touring in a motor home?

Road tax?

Surely road tax would be all.  Who would charge you anything else, you wouldn't be in one place long enough to pay any council tax.

And I would imaging they would have to pay to park overnight on campsites as most other touristy areas have signs all over carparks and laybys saying 'No Overnight Camping'

I can't believe that you've been worrying about that. Sit back and just enjoy the programme. It's very good, isn't it?

It's a spoof song of the theme from "BJ and the Bear" an 80's tv series about a US truck driver and his chimp.
