Gin !!!! Seriously, just soak your jewellery overnight in neat gin and hey presto ! Really works.

Denture cleaning tablets!!

Put jewellery in a bowl, add 2 tablets and then pour over boiling water. Leave until cool, rinse and dry.

Brings jewellery up a treat and great if you don't drink gin!!
I would certainly second denture cleaning tablets. Brought my rings up sparkling. Quite amazed I was!
I work in a well known High Street jewellers and if anyone brings jewellery into us to be cleaned it's put into a cup of very hot water with a few drops of washing up liquid added, left to soak for a while then gently scrubbed with a soft toothbrush, dry with a glass cloth. The only exception is silver for which we use siver cleaner. Hope this helps.
