Hello
I have vergin broadband and the cable from the street comes into my house through the wall and connects to a little white box inside the house which is on the wall. then there is a white cable which connects from the box and onto the modem.
My question is, i need a much longer cable as i want to move the computer to the other end of the room, is this easy to buy?
Thanks

Yes you can buy a longer cable to connect the modem, any decent independent tv or aerial shop will be able to supply you with one.

However it would probably be cheaper to leave the modem where it is and get a longer cat5 lead to connect it to the computer, any computer shop will be able to sell you cat5 leads

Wow, thanks, that was quick and very helpful however i think that if i leave the modem where it is it means it will be in the reach of my naughty little children who will undoughtedly pick it up and break it, whereas i'd rather have the modem on the computer desk out of reach
Yes, you can purchase from market. that is available in the market easily and is called CAT 5 cable.

But it will be better to you to inform your ISP provider that you want to extent your cable since you have to transfer your computer system from one place to another on the location at home.
I mean first room to second..
