ooh yes.  It's good for cleaning coffee mugs that have become stained, and for cleaning the fridge because it doesn't smell of soap or chemicals. Just sprinkle a tiny bit on the cleaning cloth and wipe!

A spoonful added to most types of cabbage and pulses improves the flavour no end. It is used as a abrasive bleaching agent for brushing teeth. It's used in baking as a raising agent. It is also one of the main ingredients in Baking powder.

My mum used to soak fresh fruit like grapes or peaches in a bowl with water and a sprinkle of bicarbonate of soda. She said it was to get rid of all the chemicals/pesticedes sprayed on the skin.

You can also use it with other ingredients as a fungicide in the garden for your plants. http://www.dirtdoctor.com/view_question.php?id=204 Here's more uses. http://virtuowl.com/soda%20page.htm
I use half a teaspoon in small amount of warm water for indigestion, also soaking combs to get them clean.  But the best use I find is to make it into a paste if you have a burn it seems to take away the sting.
