need a new kitchen tap
have been advised by plumber that I need a monobloc mixer for low pressure hot water and he has advised to get a traditional tap by this he means one that you screw to turn off rather than the quarter turn taps. I am struggling to find one. They all seem to be quarter turn taps these days what are the non quarter turn taps called are they compression valve taps.
Currently are getting a loud clunking sound when we shut off the tap at the moment I have a Franke lever tap that has gone sticky underneath the lever and you can't get underneat it to clean it up. Plumber has recommended to avoid this type and get a screw type tap which should stop the clunking noise.
I am very confused so would be grateful for any advise.

thanks
