Our kitchen is tiny. In fact at 2.5m x 1.5m it's the same size as our bathroom.  Is it OK to use a bathroom extractor fan in there instead of a kitchen one? They seem to be a lot cheaper and I can't see how the effect would be aby different.

Maybe the kitchen one is larger or rotates faster as it's meant to cope with smells etc as opposed to just steam/moisture? May explain the price. Other than that I can't think of any reason a bathroom one wouldn't do...

I know that my kitchen extractor fan has grease filters in it.
