Yeah, we recently had the kitchen replaced so there could be somewhere they're getting in, we had them when we first moved in and got rid of them then, but why are they back and why is our cat of little use, I was told the smell of the cat simply being here would deter them??
check round the waste pipes mice can get in the tiniest of holes
Can't you get them sorted from the councils enviromental health office.
I had them years ago and i rang the council, anice chappie came, and he explained if you are putting the poison down, you need to use shinny paper out of magazines and put the poison into a cone if you use newspaper for example they can hear someone is coming they scurry away, but if the shinny paper was used, they hear noises, but they feel safe and just carry on eating the bait, I thought he was crackers, but after a little while he solved my problem.
I had this problem - couldn't set the cat on them because they were inside the internal workings of my tudor farmhouse. In the end I bought poison from B&Q. The smell was a bit annoying and they died, but after 6 weeks, no mice and no smell.
We have used the sonic deterrents that plug into the wall socket and feel that they do work well.
We "belted and braced" our home by taking measures to stop the Autumn "rush"coupled with the plug-ins and we seem to have had no unwanted visitors.
In my M-in-L's (empty) house we just used the sonics. We spotted droppings in the areas not covered by the wave field.
Remember that they work only in a straight line and the plug must be fixed to a solid surface
I crush a few unsalted peanuts in with Warfarin and a little chocolate powder which they adore. Have`nt seen a mouse for ages since, but also put a drink of water down for them as it helps.
