Help!!

My cat Zsa Zsa has taken to snacking on the leaves of my Weeping Fig, is it going to do her any harm - is it poisonous to cats?

Also does anybody have any ideas on how to stop her? I can't move the p[ant as there is no other space big enough to accomodate it!!

Very many thanks

If you cannot move it,and you cannot stop her from chewing it,you may have to get rid of it.
Why?
Well according to these sites, the Weeping Fig is decidedly harmful to cats!

Thank you so much, what worries me is that she appears to have had quite a bit of it, and it is more attention seeking I think then anything else, either that or she is addicted to it!!
so far she hasn't seemed to have suffered any ill effects if anything she is even more playful?!!

Oh dear,
Are you sure that it IS a weeping fig?
I am not questioning your judgement, just hoping maybe it isn't!

Thnak you, I've just looked at some close up ptctures of the leaves and it does seem to be one. what is so strange is taht i rescued it from our bin room (I live in a block of flats) years ago and it has flourished in the corner for years and both cats have totally ignored it. Zsa has been known to snack on my visiting Spider Plant (whilst I was changing jobs it came home for a repot etc) but otherwise has paid little or not attention to my plants. So i'm not sure why now. all i can think of doing is moving it to my neighbours,m buying them some cat grass, and brringing it back in a few weeks in the hope she'll have got over this very odd habit..

Many thanks
