I've recently purchase 2 1995 ford fiesta from a local car dealer as is (they've been unused for about 6 years). problem is both vehicles do not start. when i inspect both cars i realise that the 10A fuses for the fuel pump are blewn (weird coincidence). also 2 wires that are attach to the fuel rail harness plug (but lead to the back of the cylinder head and attaches to a sensor of some sort) on both vehicles have rotted off their insulation (weird coincidence agen). i then wraped the exposed wires in electrical tape to provide some protection and then replace the blewn fuse but the problem still persist. i've inspected the entire wire harness of the cars for burned, exposed or broken wires but came up mt handed. does anyone know what could be the problem for this situation.

i assume its petrol, have you tried unplugging the fuel pump ( i believe its a combined sender/pump ) and replace the fuse and turn the ignition on, as least that would determine if its a pump problem, next step would be check the relay is working or a maybe even the correct one fitted..
