I have a latex mattress and it's too firm for me. I'm thinking of getting a memory foam mattress topper, but am confused. I've looked on Ebay and they vary in thickness from 1" to 3", and lots say "medium/firm". I don't want firm, I want to sink into it!

any advice please?

A firm mattress is good for posture and back pain (which effects over 450,000 each year.

But I would have though a summer duvet under the bottom sheet would suffice, no?

Regarding your question, I am afraid I have no idea. My bed is like a bloody concrete slab, much to the chagrin of my beloved.
ive got a memory foam mattress by itself, and even though its firm, you still sink in,best sleep ive ever had and theres no way id ever go back to a ''normal mattress'' again! go to a bed/mattress shop and have a try so you know what firmness you want before you buy one on ebay!

yes Abdul, I also have a solid pillow and said it was like sleeping on the road with my head on the pavement! I tried the extra duvet under the bottom sheet but I don't think it would be as good.

adbstract, tried that but they're packaged and no one wants to open one for me. I assume they go "ping" and maybe expand a bit. thanks for your advice, I'd love such a good night's sleep!

I've found one now on Ebay that says "soft/medium" which is 70 and is 2" thick.. maybe I'll go for that.
