when we turn the timer on the wall to heat the water, all the radiators come on and the water stays cold, it's like living in kew gardens, so hot, but the waters cold!

hi metpol1 whoy type of boiler do you have combi boiler or a traditional boiler
is it a new heating system without looking it could be piped up wrong ? have you looked at the motorized valve it could be stuck or burnt out and stuck on heating, or it could be put in the wrong way when you put it on hot water it going to heating only
It would stem to the motorised valve being stuck in the central heating position and not moving over for the water to go round the immersion tank. Look on the side of the valve and there should be a small manual button, just move it over to the other side and you should get hot water....
if has mentioned above you get hot water when you manually move the 3 way valve then you need to get the syncron motor inside the valve head replaced.
