I seeded my lawn with 2 different seeds, looks awful, should I just weed kill the lot and start again next year?

tracieu what is awful about it? if the growth is sparse and uneven, bear with it as after a few cuts it will 'fill out' Is it patchy? That's down to uneven seed disrtibution. Did you run out of one seed and use another? re-seed over the top. Are there brown patches? water & feed.
I agree with smithy, give it a good while longer to establish. If you seeded in the spring it's probably suffered a bit (despite not being a hot summer).Autumn is the best time for sowing when it's cooler & damper usually. Don't let it dry out,& as smithy says you can always sprinkle a little more seed over in a few weeks time.
