Sorry if this is in the wrong category - feel free to move if need be.
Anyway, I made the mistake of leaving a tub of Vaseline on my daughter's bedside locker one night and returned later to find she had smeared it all over the wall behind her bed. I've tried and tried but I can't remove it! Has anybody any idea how this can be removed? I don't care if the method ruins the paintwork, I just want it gone as it has been there 2 years!
Thanking you all in anticipation!

Rub the stains with neat washing up liquid and wash off with hot water. you may have to do this a few times. Then paint on stain block, International paints do a really good one, then paint as normal. If you don't want to go to the expense of buying a stain block use gloss paint on the patch and very lightly sand when dry before painting over with the final colour.
