I lhave left meetings because of crisp eaters. It's that rustle rustle CRUNCH CRUNCH munch munch as they sit and stuff their faces full of saturated fats while gazing moronically at a computer screen. When the bags open up, I leave the room for 10 minutes with a book.

I remember one late night meeting, so late that we got in an Indian meal about midnight. One guy ate in a most disgusting manner. He would hunch up over the plate and collect up a spoonful of madras, then he would very very suddenly fling the spoon into his mouth and chew noisily with his mouth open. I was aghast and revoltingly amused. I nudged my mate and pointed it out, and we were both in fits. Another meeting I had to walk out of because of barely suppressed laughter.

The human being at the trough is not a pretty sight.

It's the context. Crisps in a pub or in front of the tele are revolting enough, but in a quiet workplace where concentration is critical they merit the death sentence.
