Living here in Sheffield in the middle of the chaos of the floods, I have read a thread on Sheffield forum from someone asking advice about a beautiful table and chairs that have been damaged in the floods and they are asking advice about how they can restore it to it's former glory, I know the good people at answerbank will know some way to help

I know this is nothing to do with furniture, but would just like to say that, as a Yorkshire girl living in the south, how sorry I am that you have had to go through all this. But knowing true Yorkshire grit still exists I'm sure you will all come bouncing back. My condolences to all those family who have lost loved ones. XXXXX

Thank fully I have been fortunate to be living in an area of Sheffield not too badly hit by it all, but I have been witness to the devastation it has caused but I have never witnessed such community spirit as I have this last week both on the day of the floods and in the clean up afterwards the support has been amazing.
Is she going to have them restored through the contents insurance. If so, i'll post you an address on Sheff forum.
