Hi, does the 750 Kw rating on my heated towel rail apply when it is just 'on' or when it is flat out? I have a turbo button on the rail but when this is depressed it does not seem to use any more electric?

The power rating on any appliance should always show the absolute maximum figure. i.e. it's the 'flat out' figure which will apply.

However, I hope that your towel rail isn't actually rated at 750kW. That's enough power to run a factory!

Even 750W is quite a high figure. Those listed in the current Argos catalogue have power ratings of between 300W and 479W. (That's a further indication that your towel rail will only use 750W when on 'turbo').
