Acetone (nail varnish remover) should get it off
straight acetone can mar the finish of laminated counter tops so i depends what you call a work bench
There is also a product called super glue remover.
Moisture in the air is what causes superglue to 'cure' (set). Too much moisture will break it down, which is why they say not to use it for repairing containers that will hold liquid. You could try leaving a very wet cloth on top of it to make it break down, (though this could take a day or two!), and scraping it off with a piece of wood or hard plastic.
sorry if this is bleedin' obvious, but you can't just scrape it off with a razor blade?
