A fresh razor blade.
Scrape at 45 degrees .. almost like shaving.
Blade should ignore the lacquer and take off the set adhesive.
Question Author
hi al thanks for the reply,
i am not sure about the "should" bit as i might damage the table further, i was hoping there might have been a chemical or something to remove the glue, but thanks anyway for the advice
is there anything on the back of the pack of glue "in case of accidental spillage, do this?" Superglue is pretty potent stuff!
There are chemical solutions for removing superglue - unfortunately, as far as I'm aware, they will all dissolve lacquer equally well - mechanical removal would be best.
The "should" refers to the operator.
I would not hesitate, as I know there is nothing else to do.
Furniture Polish on fabric
Hi everyone, hope you can help. We believe we have a spillage of furniture polish on the cover of our quite expensive sofa. The fabric is a mixture of cotton (86%) and nylon and despite the efforts of a dry cleaner, the marks won't budge. Anyone have any suggestions as to how we might remove them without damaging the fabric ? Many thanks
