After a mild winter my lawns and driveway are plagued with moss. In the past I have coped by using a scarifier, but this year the growth is so thick on the drive that the machine - not made for hard surfaces - might be damaged. Can anyone suggest a reliable and long-lasting remedy?

A strong dose of Jeyes Fluid will help kill off the moss on the drive (we have a similar problem) but don't use it on the lawn (think of the poor worms)!
There is a product on the market called Armillatox available in garden centres - it is specially formulated to kill moss/algae.
Just dilute it and spray with a garden sprayer.
