Anyone have any ideas how to stop rugs slipping. I have tried the velcro sticky sheet that goes underneath but because we have quite spongy underlay it does not work.

I do not want anything that damages either the rug or the carpet.

It is driving us mad. I am sure an ABer will come up with something!!!!!!! Thanks

Hi Big A.T.

Rugs slip due to the pile on the carpet underneath. The pile on the carpet lies only one way, this is why the rug always moves in the same direction. Unless you fix something permanent to your carpet your rugs will always slip.

Any suggestions as to what please?
There's lots of anti slip rug underlays you can get, like the ones from Rugs and Stuff (www.rugsandstuff.co.uk). They work on hard floors and some also with rugs on top of of carpet.
