Hi everyone, I want to recycle my old phone book but my local council states that they can't go into my recycling box. Anyone got any ideas about any charities that will perhaps take them or any other suggestions. Thanks all in advance x

Our local council accepts white pages phone books in a recycling bin, but for some reason 'yellow pages' have to be put in a special bin at their skip site.
Have you asked your council for their recommendations on disposal? On grounds of thickness, would splitting the books into half-a-dozen bits be OK, I wonder?
