Hi, much to my dismay there is blood on my newly laid cream wool carpet. I didn't notice it til it had dried and have managed to remove some of it but its still left a stain......any ideas? thanks

I know its very important to use cold not hot water on blood stains, as hot water reacts with the iron to make the stain worse. Id try a strong cold saline solution (tablespoon of salt in a bit of warm water to dissolve, topped up with cold water to cool). Dab at the stain rather than rubbing and absorb the moisture with a clean bit of kitchen roll. Dont use a coloured rag or cloth that could leach its own colour into the carpet.

Good luck!.
Definately do not rub as antiguru says, or you will just "push" the stain further into the fibres.

You must just dab, and dab
