I need to brighten up my sitting room with some greeneries, the only problem being that it's int he basement and the room gets virtually no natural light. Can anyone suggest some house plants that grow ok without light?

Hi Timote, Here is a little list for you - all are fairly easy to look after: Peace Lily, Aspidistra, Cheese Plant, Mother-in-law Tongue, Ivy, Wandering Jew, Spider Plant or even the Lucky Bamboo. As long as they get a little light they should be ok but not a lot will tolerate no light at all. All the best Skylight
Just a suggestion, but as I can't keep plants at all (no green fingers!) I always buy silk plants. You can get some realistic looking ones these days, and they don't need looking after but still look nice.
