Hi,

My house was built 10 years ago and still has the same chintzy bathroom suite installed.

Over the past 3 weeks the upstairs sink hot tap would not release water, you can turn the tap to max and just a trickle comes out. This week the same sink the cold tap has gone the same way and this morning the downstairs cloakroom top tap has also gone the same way.

We have also noticed that sometimes, usually at night, we get a foghorn noise for about 5 mins if any water is used too.

Is my heating system on the way out ??

Don't know mush about these things, but when we moved into our house 3 months ago our taps were doing the same, turned out it was just an air-lock. Would love to tell you how to fix it but i cheated and got my brother in law to fix it. Sorry!! Hope that is all it is
This is one way too fix a airlock, get a piece of hose and fix it over the incoming cold tap nozzle[normally the kitchen sink] and put the other end over the hot tap with the problem, turn on the cold tap and then slowly open the hot tap the pressure of the cold water will move the airlock. Also maybe the tap washers are worn and sticking.
