Spilled hot candle wax on my polo shirt and blue denim jeans today. It has now hardened and I can't scrape it off! Will it come out in the wash, or do i need to do something special with it? Thanks!

I did the same on a t-shirt a couple of years ago.

I scraped off what I could and then ironed over the wax with a piece of paper between the shirt and the iron - apparently you are supposed to use brown paper but I hadn't got any and used ordinary printer paper - then I washed it and it was fine.

I think the heat from the iron melts the wax and the paper soaks it up.
more or less the same advice Sammy Snake offered http://www.tipking.co.uk/tip/4230.html
Yes it does work. If you use the dull side of the brown paper against the wax and iron on the shiny side.
I spilt wax on my carpet and it came off using this method.
i think i have heard that you can freeze the item, then pick the wax off. have never tried it tho.
