A kind friend has just bought me a Cycas Revoluta and I'd love to treat it right.

Any tips?

Hi granny grump www.houseofplants.co.uk (palms)
I'll assume the plant is a young one and is to be grown in the house. choose an area that is out of direct sunlight but has diffused or good reflected daylight that does not become too dark in winter. Do not move the plant around as this will misshapen the fronds.
TEMPRETURE, In summer 70f (21c) which can be increased to 75f (24c) when a circle of new fronds start to form. winter minimum of 60f (21c)
WATER, Daily in summer, twice a week in winter, ensure good drainage. Spraying with water at the same intervals will help maintain humidity.
FEED, weekly in summer with house plant food, diluted with water according to instructions.
REPOTING. Do this in spring if necsessary.
A weekly wipe with a damp cloth will keep it looking good but dont use any aerosol leafshine!
Good Luck T bird+
