Hi Scarlett, if it is growing in the sun, can you shade it and make sure it has enough moisture, it sounds like a woodland fern and if it is it won't like this very hot weather, you could try diggging down a bit and seeing how moist the soil it is growing in is. Hope this helps. H.
They really like moist shady places Scarlett and this scorching weather is really damaging mine too. All you can do is keep the roots and fronds as moist as possible and if it in a sunny position, perhaps try and shade it temporarily with some horticultural fleece or even some damp newspaper anchored over it. Deep digging in some water retention crystals around the roots might also help retain some moisture..

It is actually in a pot in my bathroom, well away from daylight!! Any other thoughts??!xx
Does it need repotting or some fresh compost adding? Pot plants soon loose the nutrients out of the soil if they are fed or fresh compost added. again it needs to be kept moist but not standing in too much water continually
