Cold Water

I am not getting any cold water upstairs in my house. I have plenty of cold water downstairs but there is very little upstairs. When I turn the cold tap on loads of water comes out but then goes off again. does anyone have any idea's

You've got an air lock!!

Air locks can happen for various reasons but can be a pain to clear.
Sounds a bit minging but close all taps go upstairs, open a tap and let the water flow until it stops. Leave the tap open, wrap your lips around the spout and suck as if you were syphoning out the pipework!!! if this dont work try blowing hard back up. Sounds mad but trust me, it works!!

Another option is to cover the spout with your finger or hand then turn the tap on and hopefully this should clear the airlock
